Creative Art & Craft Workshops in Cirencester

Our sessions are about curiosity, confidence and self-expression. A place to try different mediums, discover new skills and enjoy the process. Whether you're a art master or art novice, it's just about being creative in a supportive, welcoming space.

We're running summer workshops for secondary school-aged children, and have just introduced our Print & Paint Together sessions open to adults and children of primary school ages and up.

Summer Workshops for 11-16 year olds NEW: Print & Paint Together Sessions

Our workshops focus on enjoying the exploration, rather than the end result.

Our upcoming Cirencester workshops

The Makery Nook Summer Workshops are not formal art lessons, they’re relaxed sessions that allow people to explore techniques, experiment with materials and develop their own creative ideas.

We‘re there to provide the space, the materials and be a guide - demonstrating, discussing and facilitating whatever the results may be.

Our Paint Exploration workshop is designed for young people aged 11–16 who just enjoy being creative. Our Print & Paint sessions invite all ages to come and be creative together.

Slideshow

Hi, I'm Lucy, the founder of The Makery Nook.

I've always loved arts and crafts. I completed an art degree and over the years, have became a serial art/craft course-taker. My cupboards are crammed with paints, craft kits, swathes of fabric, and countless bits and pieces that might just come in handy one day.

My aim isn't to teach traditional art classes or tell children or adults what to make. Instead I want to give people young and old a relaxed, inspiring space to explore their creativity. There's no pressure to produce a perfect masterpiece, just the freedom to make, create and have fun.

PS: These summer workshops are my first; and I’m really looking forward to welcoming everyone and sharing their feedback. In the meantime, I've been planning them with help from my toughest critic - my teenage daughter and I’m keen to get the all-important teenage seal of approval!
